Gerry has been part of the decorative concrete industry since 1986. He was vice president of Concrete Solutions until it was sold to Rhino Linings in 2011 at which time he and his wife Candy started StoneCrete Systems. Gerry is one of the original pioneers of polymer concrete overlay materials. He is recognized for his achievements in developing the following systems for the decorative concrete industry:

He invented ¼” Stamped Concrete or Overlay Stamping which was introduced at the World of Concrete in 1997.

He invented Spray-Top Cement, an overlay material made with real cement that can be sprayed on thin like paint to restore existing smooth or textured concrete surfaces. Spray-Top was introduced at the World of Concrete in 2002.

He invented Roll-Top Cement, similar to Spray-Top but rollable. In 2011 he was also inducted into the Decorative Concrete Hall of Fame.

He invented and receive a patent for his Stamped Concrete Tile System which allows anyone to make and install their own cement tiles using special molds and other products to create a stamped concrete finish over existing concrete.

He was featured in an article by Concrete Décor Magazine titled “10 Milestones in the History of Concrete”naming his ¼” Stamping, Spray-Top, and Roll-Top system as the 10th Milestone in the History of Concrete.

He is working on a new system called MottleCrete a spray on cement system used to create a multi-colored mottled finish over interior or exterior concrete surfaces without using stains or dyes.
