One 600 square foot job at $10 per sq. ft. will more than pay for this package.

Choose the pattern and quantity of stamped concrete tile molds you would like to purchase. The molds are reusable over and over again and will last for many years. One mold will make up to two tiles per day if you pour once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The more molds you have the faster you can make tiles. To calculate how many tiles you will need for your job, divide the square footage of the job by 5 square feet for the Ashlar Slate Tile and by 6 square feet for the Random Stone Tile. Example: A 200 sq. ft. walkway divided by 5 would require approximately 40 Ashlar Slate Tiles. Figure 10% extra for a total of 44 tiles to allow for waste when cutting pieces to fit around walls and edges. If you had 12 molds you could make 24 tiles per day. Each tile takes about 2 minutes to make. To make 12 tiles at a time only requires a 4’x4’ space when using our 12 shelve tile rack. Instructions are available on how to build your own.

Choose the mold(s) you would like to order (more patterns coming soon!)

You’ll update quantities at checkout.

Contractors – Build or purchase a tile rack to pour tiles in your garage or shop.

Do-it-Yourselfers – Pour tiles one or two at a time in your garage or backyard.

The StoneCrete Tile System products listed below are shown in the order they are used to make your own tiles and to do a stamped concrete tile job. See the descriptions and coverage rates for each product to determine what you will need for your project. Our how-to videos and instruction manual also provide detailed mixing and application instructions for each of the products below.

> Tile Admix

One kit makes up to 40 sq. ft. of tiles. ($1.25 per sq. ft.) Used to make tiles when added to your local cement, sand, and water. Figure 10% extra square feet to allow for waste when cutting tiles to fit next to walls and edges. (Ex. if you have 200 sq. ft. to cover, figure 220 sq. ft.).

Note: For each kit of Tile Admix you will need to mix one 47 lb. bag of Portland Cement and one 50 lb. bag of Play Sand available at Home Depot. Purchasing these ingredients locally helps save on shipping cost. See our How-to-Video and StoneCrete Tile Instruction Manual for mixing and application instructions.

> Tile Adhesive

One gallon will lay up to 50 sq. ft. of tiles at $60 per gallon (or $1.20 sq. ft.) when purchased in a 3 gallon kit. Used as the adhesive to install tiles when added to your local cement, lime and acetone. Apply using a 1/4″x3/8″x1/4″  Notched trowel. See How-to-Video and StoneCrete Tile Instruction Manual for mixing and application instructions.

> Tile Grout Mix

One 28 lb. box will grout up to 500 sq. ft. of tiles at $45 per kit (or $0.09 sq. ft.)

Used to grout in-between each tile after they have been laid with Tile Adhesive. See How-to-Video and StoneCrete Tile Instruction Manual for mixing and application instructions.

> Roll-Top Cement

One 1 1/2 gallon kit will cover up to 250 sq. ft. at $60 per kit (or $0.24 sq. ft.)

Used to color the tiles after installation and grouting to provide a uniform cement color. Roll-Top is real polymer modified cement that rolls on like paint. Apply using a 3/4” or 1 1/4” nap paint roller. Available in all the colors on our Davis Color Chart or custom colors. See How-to-Video and StoneCrete Tile Instruction Manual for mixing and application instructions.

> Davis Integral Color

Iron oxide powder pigments for coloring regular concrete or Roll-Top Cement. Available in 40 colors. See the Davis Color Chart below or request a color chart be mailed to you for better accuracy. You can also use your local iron oxide pigments or liquid concrete colors from a concrete supply store. Add one ounce at a time of the color pigment chosen while mixing Roll-Top with water and a mixing drill. Have the color chart available while mixing to check the color in the Roll-Top pail with the color on the chart. Add more color one ounce at a time as needed until you achieve the color on the chart.

  • Light colors will require 1-3 oz of pigment per kit of Roll-Top
  • Medium colors will require 4-8 oz.
  • Dark colors will require 10-14 oz.

> Color Antique Powder

One 3 lb. bottle will cover up to 3000 sq. ft. at $30 per bottle (or $0.01 per sq. ft.)

Used to apply a darker highlight antique color over the Roll-Top Cement base color. Mix 2-4 ounces with 1 gallon of water and spray using a pump-up sprayer. Available in the following colors from our Davis Color Chart: Sandstone, Rustic Brown, Pebble, Yosemite Brown, Silver Smoke, Omaha Tan, Harvest Gold, Dark Gray, Bayou, Cocoa, Tile Red, San Diego Buff, Spanish Gold, Mesa Buff, Palomino, Flagstone Brown, Sierra, Adobe, Kailua, Cobblestone, Graphite, and Green Slate. (Request a color chart.)

> StoneSeal

One gallon covers up to 300 sq. ft. at $45 per gallon (or $0.15 per sq. ft. per gallon per coat).

Used as the topcoat sealer over the tiles, Roll-Top cement, and Color Antique Powder to provide a durable stain resistant finish. Apply two coats using an acetone resistant pump-up sprayer. The first coat can be thinned 1 to 1 with acetone. The second coat can be thinned 3 parts sealer to 1 part acetone.

> Release Oil

A concentrated release oil to be mixed with 100% mineral spirits in order to create a tile mold release agent. Mix 4 oz. of Release Oil with 1 gallon of 100% mineral spirits. Rub a small amount on each mold using a cotton rag 10-15 minutes prior to pouring the tile admix into the mold. This will make it easier to remove the tiles from the molds. Do not leave tiles in the molds for more than 24 hours. The molds will peel off the tiles the easiest within 6-12 hours. One 8 oz. bottle of Release Oil will be enough to make up to 2000 sq. ft. of tiles (approx. $0.01 per sq. ft.).

The total cost for all of the products above to make and install your own tiles including two coats of StoneSeal = approximately $2.64 per square foot. Purchasing one mold will add $0.20 – $0.80 per square foot if you are only doing one project between 250-1000 square feet. Call us at (801) 224-1347 or email us at if you have any questions or would like help figuring out how much product you will need to do a project.

Optional Repair Products

The products above are the main products needed for doing the StoneCrete Tile System. These optional products below are only needed when doing crack and joint repair or patching.

Crack and Joint Repair

> Tile Adhesive

Besides being used as an adhesive for the tiles, Tile Adhesive is also used to fill any cracks and joints in the area where the tiles will be laid. Measure how many linear feet of cracks and joints there are and order extra Tile Adhesive as needed. One 1 1/2 gallon kit will fill up to 180 lin. ft. of cracks or joints 1/4” wide x 1/2” deep. Mix Tile Adhesive with 1 part #30 or finer silica sand for cracks under 1/4” wide, or play sand for cracks 1/4” or wider to create a semi-pourable patching mix.

Before ordering extra Tile Adhesive, check to see if you already have enough with the amount you ordered to lay your tiles. For example, if you only needed enough Tile Adhesive to lay 100 sq. ft. of tiles, but you had to order a 1 1/2 gallon kit which covers 135 sq. ft., you may already have enough left over to fill your cracks and joints.

> Vertical Patching Mix

Used to fill in vertical grout lines between tiles, such as walls and step risers, and to fill the gap in-between where the concrete and tiles meet around the vertical edges. Just add water.

One 20 lb. box at $35 will patch or grout up to 250 linear feet of vertical grout lines or edges (= approximately $0.14 per linear foot.)

> Polymer Patching Mix

Used for making polymer modified patching and resurfacing cement mixes for filling in low spots or smoothing out rough, deteriorated, or spalled surfaces before laying tiles. Mix with your local water, cement, and silica sand, or play sand.

> Joint Repair Fabric

(4” x 300’ Roll) $40 – Used as extra reinforcement over joints for added crack resistance. After filling joints with Tile Adhesive mixed with sand, Joint Repair Fabric can be embedded over the joints using Tile Adhesive with no sand and a paintbrush.
