I was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend the Concrete Countertop Course in Las Vegas in January 2008 hosted by Ben Ashby.
This course has proved invaluable as far as information, access to product, support and advice, and overall quality of knowledge.
I’ve been extremely impressed with the versatility of the product – to date I’ve made specialized benches, pedestals, and a fireplace hearth.
The response from my clients has been incredible – especially regarding the artistic element of the item; they just can’t believe it’s concrete!
The support of the Concrete Solutions/Ben Ashby System Forum is amazing – providing me immediate responses and access to the information that I need right away.
I am proud to be associated with the Ben Ashby System and would not hesitate to highly recommend it to anyone inquiring about it.

After 2 to 3 years of researching Concrete countertops and already a business owner, I was very thorough with my research. I found the Ashby System is the most innovative countertop system on the market. Not only does the system allow for one to be creative, it also challenges the intelligence of each architectural mind. The realism and natural stone appearance has far surpassed my expectations as a lifetime construction professional. Although I’m sure the Ashby System can monopolize Ben’s time 24 hours a day he has Never not taken a call from any student that has attended his class. I believe thats goes to his character and the type of person he is. If one is looking for the perfect system this would be one!

Hello Ben,
The Ben Ashby training class has done wonders for my decorative concrete business. Your system has provided yet another opportunity for me to work on the “art” of the concrete countertop process. I’ve received numerous compliments on the technique and style I now use thanks to you. Your system is remarkable and I cannot thank you enough for the training and your willingness to remain a support system when I have questions. I highly recommend your training and am certainly glad I attended.
Thanks again.

A special thank you! About 2 years ago I got into the concrete world. I did all my homework and on my way I went. So, I did decorative concrete knowing that I hadn’t found that one thing I really enjoyed doing. While placing an order one day I saw The Ashby System and I thought that it was beautiful and very different from anything that was out there. I did some checking and decided to take the training. That was the start of a new career for me. I found the class to be extremely educational and informative with excellent hands on training. Mr. Ashby worked very hard at giving us all the information he could, or shall I say we could absorb, for being able to go home and actually make a countertop and having it look like it wasn’t your first job ever.
I now have several companies promoting this product and they are as excited about it as I am. When I showed a sample to these companies they couldn’t believe that it was concrete, they were stunned. They as well as myself have spent several months on promoting and advertising this product correctly and it is really starting to pay off. I also have a cabinet manufacturer that is going to promote this product and they are in 12 different states. To anyone who is thinking about taking this adventurous leap in your career of concrete countertops, I highly recommend this product as well as the company you are dealing with, they are greatly respected in the concrete world. It’s a new exciting and different approach to the concrete world and how better for you, than to be one of the first to get to introduce the product in your area. Good luck to everyone who takes this leap. It’s only a win win for us all.
A special thanks to Ben Ashby for coming forth and sharing his exciting product and also to Concrete Solutions for introducing these countertops to all of us. I look forward to the years to come and watch this product take over the concrete countertops industry.

Hey Ben,Less than one year ago, I attended the first Ben Ashby training class, my oldest son Ryan has a Concrete Solutions resurfacing business and we thought this might be a good addition for him, he was too busy to attend, so I thought a weekend in Vegas was a good idea for me. The course was interesting and although never having made a countertop before, went away with the confidence to take on this new challenge. The tools and equipment are pretty basic to most workshops so start up costs were very minimal. I took the 20″ x 20″ sample we made in class with me on the plane home (talk about overweight baggage!) showed it to a few cabinet shops and local designers, and taught my 24,17 and 13 year old sons how to do it. In the first year Ryan added over $100,000 revenue to his decorative concrete business creating some amazing kitchen pieces, bathroom sinks, walking showers, outside kitchens, fireplace facades, outside entrances etc… What started as a way to fill in a little slow time in the winter and rain days has become a very successful venture. My younger boys also enjoy making custom counters with molded sinks, and a variety of custom furniture pieces, Nathan (17) will be attending University this fall and intends to make some extra cash doing this in his spare time. At $125-150 per sq ft for most pieces, he quite likes it! I can’t say enough about your simple yet amazing system, and the tremendous support you provide. Thanks

I’ve been doing decorative concrete since 1999 and never really cared for the look of cast in place concrete countertops. My wife Nancy and I went to the World of Concrete in 2008 looking for different applications to improve our decorative concrete business. We walked to the booth where Ben Ashby was displaying his grape bowl sink top. We both immediately could not believe that this top was concrete. We spent some time with Ben asking questions about his concrete tops and how do we learn this technique.I was so impressed with Ben and his countertops that I signed up for his countertop class. One month later I went to Ben’s concrete countertop class. The class was very structured and informative. We learned to make a pre-cast concrete countertop from the beginning all the way to the end where it was sealed. The instruction from Ben was very informative. I took what I learned in Ben’s class and incorporated it into my decorative concrete business back in Oklahoma City. Since I have attended Ben’s class I have been very successful in the manufacturing of concrete countertops. I currently have a clientele of new home builders, interior design groups, commercial contractors and home owners who are looking for a new option in updating their homes.Ben has been very helpful when it comes to technical support. There have been numerous times when I had some issues with color, sealer application and installation where I have contacted Ben and he was very eager to assist and talked me through the procedure. Currently Ben has given me instructional information on the manufacturing of GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) using light weight concrete. I highly recommend Ben Ashby’s concrete countertop class to anyone interested in learning this artistic trade. Contact Ben and make arrangements to attend his concrete countertop class.

Dear Ben,
I want to thank you for getting me started with concrete countertops. I had always admired the look of concrete in kitchens and bathrooms and decided to search the Internet in hopes that I could figure out how to build the countertops myself. I ordered a few DVDs and read everything I could get my hands on. After seeing your website I knew immediately that you had a unique product and I wanted to learn how to do what you were doing.
I attended your second class and was amazed at how you were able to simplify the process and have everyone in the class creating countertops immediately. The class was very well done and well thought out and there was no doubt you were an expert and had perfected this art.
I left the class and immediately began building countertops for houses in my hometown. I was in business from the first day I got back from the class. In the past year I have been as busy as I want to be with this business and turn away as many jobs as I take. I really love creating these works of art and controlling every little detail during the process.
The reaction when someone sees the countertops for the first time is priceless. The first question is always “how did you do that?!” Finally I want to thank you for the support since attending the class. I remember the night I was pouring my first job and I called your cell phone for help. You were very nice to deal with me in my panic and I’ll always be grateful. I also really enjoy going to your forum and reading about the other students and their projects and your continued updates on techniques and products.
Thanks again for everything.
Sincerely,

Hi Ben, it was very fortunate that I met you at the World Of Concrete the very same day that you met Gerry with Concrete Solutions to start your business partnership. The excitement you had when you shared your Ashby System photos with me was truly contagious. I have been operating my decorative concrete coating business since 1987 and have been an installer of Concrete Solution products since 1997 attending their second ever training course. It has been just over 2 years since I attended my first class with you and for the life of me I cannot remember just how many kitchens, bathrooms, and BBQ countertops I have done! The Ashby System is by far the most popular product we install, and how I love to be off my knees. What sets Countertop Solutions Ashby Systems apart from others is as soon as you see it you cannot believe it is concrete. It has the look of a priceless family heirloom of which you can sell a style, a warm feeling, a conversation piece. The other systems claim to be able to make it look like anything you want, but trying to sell ‘anything’ takes a very long time. Your new website honors me by showing my very first job – a kitchen counter and triple sink – as the first photo on your home page and is a testimonial to your comprehensive teaching technique.
Ben and Gerry may not make ice cream here, but in my opinion may be the best combination of artistic ability, innovation, and talent any two guys could have. Your success means our success, and that works for me.
Thanks again,
